Angelina Jolie: ‘Brad Pitt persuaded me to get pregnant’

Angelina Jolie has credited her partner Brad Pitt with inspiring her to have children of her own, insisting she “didn’t want to get pregnant” until she met him.

The Hollywood actress was already mom to her son Maddox, now eight, when she met Pitt, after adopting the youngster from Cambodia.

After she struck up a relationship with Pitt in 2006, they went on to adopt daughter Zahara, now five, from Ethiopia before Jolie became pregnant with the couple’s first biological child, Shiloh, who was born in 2006. They subsequently adopted another son, Pax, in 2007, before welcoming biological twins, Vivienne and Knox, in 2008.

And Jolie admits she was happy just to take in orphaned children, until Pitt convinced her to become a mom herself.

She tells Australia’s Marie Claire magazine, “When I met him… I didn’t want to get pregnant. I always wanted to adopt, but I never had the desire of experiencing biological motherhood.

“He taught me to be more patient and to enjoy everything that exists in the world.”

Jolie : New Movie Pushed Me to Get Pregnant

If it weren’t for her new movie, Changeling, Angelina Jolie says she may not have had twins Knox and Viv. She recently told The Los Angeles Times the film’s themes of motherhood pushed her get pregnant.

“I got pregnant right in the middle of it and I think partially because of it,” she said, smiling. “I was so emotional about children that I think something in me kicked into gear.”

In the Clint Eastwood drama, Jolie plays the mother of a kidnapped son – her latest mom-centric film.

“I don’t think it’s a choice of mine as much as it is something women deal with when we get older,” she said. “A woman in her 30s is more likely to have roles that in some way relate to family.”

Being the mother of six life can be challenging – even with the help of beau Brad Pitt.

“I woke up at 3 in the morning with four kids with jet lag and two babies,” the U.N. goodwill ambassador said as she reflected on one recent day. “I put myself together for a few hours and go out. And then I go home. This is my job.”

Still, she said she shows no signs of slowing down – or settling in Hollywood.

“I don’t dislike it here,” the Oscar-winner said. “I just really do love to travel. I love other cultures. And I love raising my kids in the world. I’m so fortunate that I get to do that. Added the actress, “The center of my life is my kids.”

Entertainment Tonight report that Angelina gave birth to her twins!

ET breaks news that ANGELINA JOLIE has had her twins!

A source close to the actress confirms that she has given birth to twins in France. “Babies are great and so is mom,” we’re told. ET is also hearing that the names are Isla (pronounced eye-la) Marcheline (after Angie’s mom) and Amelie Jane (after Brad’s mom) JOLIE-PITT.

The babies are the fifth and sixth children for Angelina Jolie and BRAD PITT, whose family consists of Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3 and Shiloh, 2.

Angelina confirms ‘I AM having twins’

Angelina steals the show at Cannes as she confirms ‘I AM having twins’ – Angelina Jolie has confirmed the rumours that she and Brad Pitt are expecting twins. thanks to a slip of the tongue of actor Jack Black on the opening day of the Cannes Film Festival.

Jack and Angelina were having a joint interview to promote their latest film Kung Fu Panda at the festival when the actor said to her: “You’re gonna have as many as (the) Brady Bunch when you have these.”

Asked if she was expecting twins, Angelina replied, “Yeah, yeah, we’ve confirmed that already. Well, Jack’s just confirmed it actually.”

But the star refused to reveal the gender of the babies: “We would like to keep that private,” she said.

The 32-year-old arrived for the interview at the Carlton Palace hotel with U.S. ‘Today’ show host Natalie Morales in a full length mint green dress.

There was no sign of partner Brad Pitt who had earlier been seen driving her around the French Riveria. The couple are said to have chosen the area as the place for Angelina to give birth.

The Mail online was one of the first websites in the world to confirm the news Angelina is expecting twins – her fifth and sixth children with Brad.

They already have a biological daughter Shiloh, nearly two, and adopted children Maddox, seven, Pax, four, and Zahara, three.

The family are currently staying at Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s Villa Maryland in St Jean Cap Ferrat in the south of France. Angelina’s latest film, Changeling – a 1920s thriller directed by Clint Eastwood – is in the running for the coveted Palme d’Or award at Cannes.

Brad Pitt Urges Pregnant Angelina Jolie to Rest

According to reports, Brad Pitt has urged his partner Angelina Jolie to rest during her pregnancy. Sources say the actress refused to slow down after learning that she was pregnant with their fifth child.

“Every since she got pregnant, he’s been begging her to slow down and take things easy. He’s hired a nurse, nutritionist, personal chef and trainer to be on hand 24/7,” says a source. “At first Angelina seemed reluctant to accept help. But rushing around for work and looking after four kids is taking its toll and she’s started to listen to his advice.”

While the 32-year-old actress has slowed down with her work, she is said to be busy planning a quite summer wedding with Pitt. Insiders claim the couple wants to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony this summer before the baby is born. Jolie and Pitt already have three adopted children and one biological daughter.
