Jon Voight talk about Daughter Angelina Jolie

Accesshollywood report interview with Jon Voight talk about his daughter Angelina Jolie on her Directorial debut! and seem he’s very ‘proud’ of his girl

“Can you imagine? I’m a father whose daughter, first of all, is in this great business of ours, and is one of the great stars of this business” he told Access at the “In the Land of Blood and Honey” premiere. “Then she writes a script from the beginning, and she produces it herself, and she directs it. Who does that?”

“It’s like Clint, but he doesn’t write his stuff — of course, he writes his music,” Jon continued, referring to Clint’s work as the composer of many musical themes to his films. “I’m sure she was very inspired working with Clint and she [thought she] might try this, but she’s got a lot of courage to do it. I’m very excited.”

He also said he’d happy to take a role in a film directed by Angie

“I would love it, of course. I’m sure she’s terrific”

“I’m delighted to work with her anytime I can.”

Jon Voight Loves Being Grandpa

Grandparents get to play, buy the children things mom and dad would say no to, and enjoy all the cuteness in hours long spurts. Do you think there has ever been a grandpa who didn’t love his role?

Probably not and Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight is no exception. “Every stage of your life has delight, thank God, and also dramas,” he tells UsMagazine. “But, oh my gosh, being a Grandfather is the most wonderful thing!”

Things weren’t always so spectacular. Jon and Angelina stopped speaking seven years ago when Jon told Access Hollywood that his daughter suffered

“serious mental problems.” I’m sure it hurt her, obviously, but compared to Britney Spears’ mom who wrote a book about her called Through The Storm or moms like Kate Gosselin who put their kids on TV during their formative years, it doesn’t seem like it warrants that much time in exile.

Luckily, they patched things up earlier this year. In February, Jon joined Angie, Brad, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox for a boat trip on Venice’s Grand Canal. Jon says ”a very beautiful trip…It’s nice to have something that’s positive. I hope to see [the kids] soon.”
