Angelina Jolie donates $ 50,000 for Syrian refugees
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are donated $ 50,000 to support the purchase tents for Syrian refugees in Jordan
As she visited there (December 5-6, 2012) and meeting with border officials in Jordan and officials praised the country for receiving refugees.
She mentioned “The incredible compassion shown to these traumatised refugee families by the Jordanian border guards was extremely moving. Jordan has welcomed the refugees even though it has placed a huge burden on the country. The international community needs to show more solidarity and to support Jordan and the other countries in the region who continue to keep their borders open.”
A report published by the UN official site reveals Jolie and Pitt donated $50,000 to put toward the purchase of tents for displaced Syrians.
